Castle Stuart, near Inverness

Stuart Castle, near Inverness.
This beautiful castle is dripping with history. It has
connections to Mary, Queen of Scots, the melancholy
and tragic Charles 1st and several Earls of Moray,
plus more than one ghost.

Elgin, Moray

Elgin town centre, Moray, benefits from being
a pedestrian precinct.

Brodie Castle in Moray
Brodie Castle. This fine 17th century tower house,
half a mile from Dyke, is still the home of the Brodies,
although now administered by the National Trust of
Scotland. In fact, the land was given to the family in
1130 by Malcolm 4th, who was descended from
the pictish aristocracy
